DR. ANIL KUMAR AERON AND DR. (MRS) MEENA AERON
MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Dr. Anil Kumar Aeron was born in a middle class family in Bikaner, a city of Rajasthan, India on 05.09.1942. They were five brothers and two sisters. He was eldest of all. Two of his brothers died in very young age and at that very young age he decided to become a doctor. For this goal to achieve he worked hard all through his schooling. He got admission in S.P. Medical College, Bikaner and completed his M.B.B.S. in 1966. As his father was not in a condition to afford his medical studies, he gave tuition to schoolchildren for buying his medical textbooks. Because there was no electricity at home, he used to study in the Bikaner public park under lampposts. When he became a doctor, he got his first appointment at the same S.P. Medical College, Bikaner in the department of Physiology as a teacher (Demonstrator). He could never forget what he faced during his phase of medical studies and so he decided to help poor students by choosing 10 poor students every year and gifted them a set of medical textbooks each. He continued this help till the end. He took voluntary retirement from the post of Associate Professor in 1994. He then became the Managing Director of Meena Nursing Home of Bikaner. At this private hospital he made a rule, that 20% patients, who are poor, will be treated free of cost. On 29.04.1997 he departed from his beloved ones and took his last holy journey to Heaven.
Dr. (Mrs.) Meena Aeron, wife of Dr. Anil Kumar Aeron, also completed her M.B.B.S. in 1966 from S.P. Medical College, Bikaner. She worked in a number of government hospitals. She became a renowned gynecologist and obstetrician of Bikaner district. At the same time she helped her husband in raising his younger sisters and brothers. She also gifted him one son and two daughters and brought them up as good humans. After her voluntary retirement, she opened the first private nursing home in Bikaner. After the death of Dr. Anil Kumar Aeron she continued the holy task, started by her husband. But she could not live long apart from her husband and left this world to join him on 02.09.2002. She was in true means a loving wife and a caring mother.
Now Dr. Alok Aeron, son of late Dr. Anil Kumar Aeron and late Dr. (Mrs) Meena Aeron, in the memory of his father and mother with the aim of continuing the holy cause has started these scholarships.
These scholarships are sponsored by Dr. Alok Aeron, director of Cosmos Educational Consultants and are open to all students who seek admission in Smolensk State Medical University through Cosmos Educational Consultants.
Rules for grant of the scholarship are:
- Scholarship is on yearly basis.
- This applies for the students, who are taking admission in this year.
- The student should be of Indian origin.
- The student has taken admission in the Smolensk State Medical University and that the admission has been taken through Cosmos Educational Consultants.
- The student has taken admission in Medical faculty of the Smolensk State Medical University for his graduation and not for any other courses.
- The student has taken admission from the first year of Medical faculty of the Smolensk State Medical University for his graduation and has not been transferred from any other medical institution.
- Dr. Anil Kumar Aeron memorial Scholarship is granted for an amount equal to full fee for next year and will be paid directly to the Smolensk State Medical University as the fee to be paid by the student to the Smolensk State Medical University. This scholarship will be granted to one student in every year of education, who will get best grades* in examinations of all subjects during both semesters of that year. If more than one students get best grades*, then both the scholarships will be divided equally between those students.
- Dr. (Mrs.) Meena Aeron memorial Scholarship is granted for an amount half of the full fee for next year and will be paid directly to the Smolensk State Medical University as the fee to be paid by the student to the Smolensk State Medical University. This scholarship will be granted to one student in every year of education, who will get second best grades* in examinations of all subjects during both semesters of that year. If more than one students get second best grades*, then the scholarship will be divided equally between those students.
- The decision of grant of this scholarship to any student is solely taken by Dr. Alok Aeron, Director of Cosmos Educational Consultants. The decision of grant or continuation of this scholarship made by Dr. Alok Aeron will be final and will not be challenged by anybody.
* The marking system in Russian educational institutions is of grade type. There are four grades
